CluePost is a logic puzzle game developed by JSB SOFTWORKS ("the developer"). This policy explains what data is collected when you use the game, for what purpose, and what rights you have over it.

Playing offline (no account): no personal data is collected. Your game progress (completed levels, stamps, language and display preferences) is stored only in your browser's local storage (localStorage) and never leaves your device. This storage is technical and necessary for the game to work; it is not used to track you.
If you connect your Google account (optional): your name, email address and a user identifier are collected, provided by Google through Firebase Authentication. Your game progress is also stored in Firebase Cloud Firestore against that identifier so it can be synced across your devices.
The data is used solely to run the game: signing you in, showing your name, and saving and syncing your progress. The legal basis is the performance of the service you request when you connect your account (and your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by signing out and asking for your data to be deleted). We do not sell your data and we do not share it with third parties for commercial purposes.
CluePost uses Firebase (Google LLC) for authentication and cloud saving. The data is processed on Google servers, which may be located outside your country; Google adheres to the applicable international data transfer frameworks. More information in Google's privacy policy and in Privacy and Security in Firebase.
This site includes the Google AdSense code. At the time of writing there are no ad units placed on the pages, but Google's script is present and may use cookies and similar technologies (such as web beacons) from your first visit.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use those cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's ad settings, and your consent will be requested where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom). The Android version additionally shows optional rewarded ads through Google AdMob.
You can request access to, correction of or deletion of your data by writing to cluepostgame@gmail.com. If you are in the European Economic Area, you also have the right to data portability, to restriction of processing, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
Cloud progress is kept for as long as your account exists. You can delete local progress by clearing your browser's site data. To have your cloud data (progress and account details) removed, write to us and we will delete it.
CluePost is suitable for all audiences and is not specifically directed at children under 13. Connecting a Google account is optional; the game can be played without an account, in which mode no personal data is collected.
Cloud data is stored on Google/Firebase infrastructure, protected by access rules that only allow each user to read and write their own data.
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the "last updated" date.
